Sarah

Yoga Flow teacher

Biography

Sarah’s relationship with yoga started in 2008 when she found herself unable to do her usual exercise due to an injury. Initially only aware of the physical benefits that yoga could offer, she saw it as a good opportunity to become more flexible. As she continued to practise, she got hooked to that post-yoga sense of calm and, before long, found herself going to class as a way of counteracting day to day stresses. With a background in teaching group exercise, it seemed a natural progression for Sarah to look into yoga teacher training. This thought percolated with Sarah for many years, then in 2019 she stumbled across a teacher training course that she just knew was the one for her.

For the next 2 years she worked towards her yoga instructor qualification recognised by the British Wheel of Yoga. The more she learns, the more Sarah realises how yoga spans every aspect of life. She is passionate about enabling others to explore what it has to offer. Sarah then continued with her studies and is now also trained in Yoga Therapy which allows her to work with clients utilising the many tools of yoga to navigate through different conditions and life challenges.

Sarah is an advanced Pranic Healer, working with energy within the body to bring about positive effects. She enjoys combining her two passions together when working with clients. Sarah really enjoys sharing her love for yoga with others and she gets great pleasure from witnessing moments of realisation facilitated by the beauty of yoga.

What do you get up to when not teaching/practising yoga?

I spend a lot of time outdoors, whether it’s walking the dog, cycling or paddle boarding. I am lucky to live amongst some lovely countryside and so I definitely make the most of it! I love nothing more than a camping trip, sleeping under canvas really connects me to nature in a way that nothing else does. I often visit family and friends at the weekends and these times are very precious to me.

Favourite posture?

As you will discover when you come and practise with me, I do love a balance! If I had to pick just one then I would say ardha chandrasana (half moon). On a day when I feel light in my body, I just love how it makes me feel.

What’s on your bucket list?

India has to be top of my bucket list, very closely followed by South America.
